This general contractor was “getting by” with a rented website, no SEO, no content approach, and no reputation management strategy.
All while buying leads through 3rd party websites. This approach did not align with the owner’s overall long term business goals.
Mariano & Co. faced the challenge of not having control over their website and lacked a clear understanding of how to establish a strong presence on Google to connect with people looking for their services.
That is why he reached out to OVP first to discuss and assess his current setup, marketing goals, and competition so we could develop the best plan of attack.

#1: New Website:
Understanding the pivotal role of a website, we first initiated the development of a new, responsive, and SEO-friendly website. That way the website would look great no matter what device it was being viewed on. In addition, by implementing On-Page SEO best practices, the client was able to establish clear communication with Google and the search engines about their services and the radius they serve.
The website was designed to communicate the company’s story, showcase project portfolios on individual pages, and clearly articulate the features and benefits of their services, their team, and their showroom location.
#2: Google My Business & Local SEO:
One very important step with their local marketing set up was to ensure their Google Business Profile was fully optimized. The goal was to increase organic visibility on Google Local Maps and, ultimately drive new prospects or “cold traffic” to their Google Business Profile.
In addition, we helped increase online reviews by implementing our turnkey customer review system. There were some strong reviews to start, however, it was necessary to continue to build more and more 5-star reviews due to the strength of the competition in the industry and the local area.
There were other important online directores and local business profiles that we also set up and optimized to further improve the online foundation and local SEO efforts.
The optimization efforts and review campaign resulted in significant outcomes after just 6 months!
There were 166 click-to-call leads and 143 driving-direction requests to the company’s local design showroom, proving the effectiveness of local SEO initiatives.
#3: Website SEO:
With the new website in place, the next step was to implement a multi-faseted SEO strategy. We implemented a dedicated content marketing program and link-building campaign. The goal was to enhance the website’s visibility for over 500 high-value home improvement keywords in their target areas. Which we accomplished within the first 6 months of the campaign. .
The organic positioning achieved through the strategic SEO efforts resulted in 2,730 visitors from Google traffic alone, contributing to 149 estimate requests for substantial home improvement projects.
Notably, this represented a 26% increase compared to all other website traffic sources combined.
Results and Impact:
Within 6 months, the campaign achieved remarkable results (even without a trackable phone number on the website, thus data below only includes website form fills only and GBP leads).
The six-month digital marketing campaign generated a total of 392 estimate request leads for five and six-figure home improvement projects, with an average cost-per-lead of $23.18 (again, excluding phone leads).
These results underscored the significance of Google traffic in sustaining and expanding their business.
